Multipurpose tow bar for NH90 and AW101 Helicopters

Main Features

The multipurpose tow bar for helicopters NH/SH/TTH90 and AW-HH101, P/N 430-9B, was designed to tow multiple model of helicopter, through a simple change in the configuration of the coupling elements.  This tow bar can fit different helicopters simply changing the helicopter-tow bar interface.

The opening and closing actuation is carried out by a control lever connected by Bowden cable to engagement pins. The control lever has a locking safety pin to avoid undue actuation during towing

Safety Devices

The tow bar is equipped with two different type of shear safety pins for NH/SH90 and AW101 in order to protect the aircraft from sudden movement of the prime mover or from excessive towing load. The shear pin break does not create dangerous situation. No separation of towing eye from tow bar.

Specific Tools

The tow bar is equipped with different set of coupling elements (nose landing gear engagement pins), multipurpose (suitable both for NH/SH/TTH90 and AW-HH101) or specially designed for other landing gear.
